Works on Paper

New York City based artist, Gwyneth Leech is known for her paintings of building construction across Manhattan, and has been engaged in a multi-year project to document the evolution of the Midtown cityscape as new skyscrapers inexorably rise, from Hudson Yards and Billionaire’s row, to One Vanderbilt and 270 Park Avenue in Midtown East. This collection features watercolors, India ink drawings and mixed media paintings on paper made from 2016-2022 of the rising towers of Hudson Yards, a building going up outside the artist’s window, and recent steel installation for a new tower at 270 Park Avenue.
